WINDY CITY BULLS ANNOUNCE 2018-19 PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL - The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO Harris Bank, the official NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, today announced it’s 2018-2019 promotional schedule for the team’s third season at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates.

Opening Night is scheduled for Friday, November 2 and will feature a cooler bag giveaway, presented by BMO Harris Bank. The game will also feature the opportunity for all fans to take to the court after the game to meet all the Windy City players and get autographs. This special post-game on-court autograph opportunity with the entire team will take place five times this season, while all other home games will continue to feature post-game autographs on the concourse with two Windy City players.

The team will play two home games over Thanksgiving weekend and are inviting fans to take part in a unique twist on the traditions of this holiday. On Friday, November 23, the Bulls will hold a Black Friday raffle with prizes given away to lucky fans, and following a 2 PM matinee game on Sunday, November 25, fans will leave with Windy City and Chicago Bulls Thanksgiving Leftovers, including promotional items, apparel, coupons and other special giveaways.

The home team will don its first themed jersey of the season on Monday, December 3 to celebrate Illinois’ Bicentennial Celebration, which falls on this date. Windy City’s Illinois-themed special jerseys will be auctioned during the game.

The team’s annual Dog Day, presented by Mueller, will take place on December 14 when fans can bring their furry friends to the game, and will feature a Mueller employee fundraiser to benefit Anderson Animal Shelter of Elgin. In addition, the first 90 dogs to arrive will receive a Chicago Bulls doggy t-shirt to show support for their favorite NBA franchise. Windy City will also be wearing special dog-themed jerseys during the game, and auction proceeds from the sale of these unique uniforms will be donated to Anderson Animal Shelter of Elgin on behalf of Mueller and the Windy City Bulls.

On December 15, Windy City is giving away pairs of holiday-themed socks to the first 1,500 fans as part of the team’s giant holiday party taking place throughout the game.

The New Year starts in style as the team plays host to a special 5:00 PM January 1 game that will feature a halftime baby race, with entries selected from a Windy City Bulls social media contest. Later that week on January 5, the first 1,500 fans will have the opportunity to pick one of six custom-designed t-shirts celebrating Chicago’s six NBA Championships that will be printed and given away on-site by Blink Tees.

On January 11, Windy City faces its rivals to the north when Wisconsin pays a visit in a Border Battle contest, presented by Johnsonville, followed the next night by Deaf Awareness Night on January 12. On this special night, the team will wear specially-designed jerseys that spell out “Bulls” in American Sign Language and the uniforms will be auctioned off with proceeds donated to Illinois Association of the Deaf. Also, the first 1,000 fans through the doors will receive Windy City’s first-ever bobblehead giveaway, featuring Gus T. Bull and Benny the Bull.

The first month of the new year’s promotions conclude on Friday, January 18 when the popular Lego Night takes place, featuring concourse Lego action stations and a custom Windy City-themed Lego piece giveaway, presented by LEGOLAND Discovery Center Chicago.

Mid-February brings another round of exciting promotions, as the team will giveaway Kid’s Superhero Capes, presented by BMO Harris Bank, on February 9 during Windy City’s Community Heroes Celebration, honoring local Police, Fire, EMS and Military personnel. On February 20, the team’s annual Education Day 11 AM game, presented by BMO Harris Bank, will include thousands of local students taking part in educational programming, and receiving a workbook that integrates basketball into learning. The month closes out with Charity Hair Cut Night, presented by Great Clips on Friday, February 22.

The season concludes in March with Boy & Girl Scout Night on March 3, Faith & Family Night on March 15 and a NBA2K tournament on the Sears Centre video board before the season finale on Saturday, March 23. Contestants in the video game tournament will include Chicago-based NBA2K influencers competing against individuals selected during a social media contest that will be announced later this season.

Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday home date will feature a popular Chicago Bulls Entertainment Team performance, including the Luvabulls, Flippers, Elevators, Bucket Boys, presented by Vienna Beef, and Benny the Bull will make several special appearances throughout the season to perform with his cousin, Windy City’s Gus T. Bull, as we continue our theme of bringing the Chicago Bulls game experience to the Sears Centre.

Families can take advantage of affordable Family Packs that includes four 100 Level tickets and four food vouchers during every Friday and Sunday home game this season, and the team is also offering a limited number of Five Game Packages for only $100 that includes a 100 Level ticket to five prime weekend home dates, including Opening Night, a Windy City hat, and guaranteed receipt of the five promotional giveaways that are scheduled this season.

The Windy City Bulls enter its third season as a member of the 27-team NBA G League and the franchise will open its 50-game regular season schedule at home on Friday, November 2 against the Lakeland Magic.
