HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL –  The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO Harris Bank, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, snapped their three-game losing streak with a 114-101 victory over the Maine Red Claws Saturday night at Sears Centre Arena.

Ryan Arcidiacono paced the Bulls with a career-high-tying 25 points on 9-of-10 shooting and six rebounds. Antonio Blakeney tallied 24 points, six rebounds, and nine assists, while Jaylen Johnson registered his seventh double-double of the season with 22 points and a career-high 14 rebounds. Brandon Wood pitched in with 14 points off the bench.

Offense was plentiful as Windy City made seven of their first eight shots to begin the game. Mychal Mulder jump-started the offense scoring nine points in the first four minutes of the contest. The Bulls lead by 11 on a couple of occasions, including 34-23 with 2:25 left in the period. Maine scored six quick points to pull within five for the first time since the 10-minute mark, but Windy City closed the quarter on a 5-0 run of their own as they shot over 60 percent from the floor and lead 39-29 at the end of the first.

Maine was without the services of Kadeem Allen who was on assignment with the Boston Celtics as part of his two-way status. Three players scored in double figures, led by Andrew White who poured in a game-high 41 points and added 14 rebounds. Jabari Bird, the Red Claws other NBA two-way player, scored 22 points, while Devin Williams recorded a double-double with a 10-point, 15 rebound performance.

The Bulls scored five quick points to start the second quarter to extend the lead to 15, their largest of the night. Andrew White kept Maine afloat as he scored 13 of his 41 points in the period. The two teams seesawed back-and-forth as the Red Claws got within 10, but an Arcidiacono bucket gave the Bulls 59-49 advantage with 2:55 left to play in the half. Maine scored seven of the final nine points and trailed by five, 61-56 at the intermission.

The start of the third quarter was kind to Windy City as they outscored Maine by eight in the opening five minutes to re-take a double-digit lead. The Red Claws, however, wouldn’t go away as they trimmed the lead to five, but couldn’t draw closer. The Bulls outscored Maine by four and took a nine-point lead into the final 12 minutes.

A quick 7-0 run to start the fourth quarter made it a one-possession game with just over nine minutes to play. White nailed a jump shot to give the Red Claws their first lead of the night, 91-90, but the lead was short-lived. Windy City rattled off nine consecutive points on three-point baskets by Blakeney, Wood, and Harris to capture the lead for good.

Windy City improves to 2-0 on the season against the Red Claws while averaging 129 points in those contests. The Bulls have four days off before embarking on a three-game road swing beginning with the Canton Charge next Thursday in a game that will be played at The Q Arena in Cleveland.
