Windy City Bulls Release 2023-24 Promotional Event Game Schedule
The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, have announced the team’s promotional event schedule for the 2023-24 season. The slate includes 18 themed events, five theme jersey auctions and 12 unique fan giveaways.
The team tips off the home schedule with its annual Filipino Heritage Night, presented by BMO, on Saturday, Nov. 18. The event will include a Gus T. Bull Filipino-Themed Bobblehead giveaway and Windy City players will also be playing in special Filipino-themed game uniforms.
On Sunday, Dec. 17, Windy City will celebrate the holiday season by giving away a Gus T. Bull & Benny the Bull Winter Snow Globe during the team’s Holiday Party and Mascot Extravaganza. In-game festivities will include an ugly sweater contest and an appearance from Santa Claus.
Following the Holiday Break on Friday, Jan. 5, Windy City will offer the first 1,000 fans a unique Benny the Bull & Gus T. Bull Game Used Jersey Collectable Display Giveaway. This commemorative piece will include authentic swatches of each mascot’s game used jersey embedded into the resin photo display, and is the first time a collectable with game memorabilia has been created for a fan giveaway.
The next night, on Jan. 6, Windy City will celebrate the iconic Space Jam movie with a Taz Bobblehead giveaway, presented by NOW Foods. Windy City will also don Space Jam-themed jerseys during the game.
On Saturday, Jan. 13, Windy City will host its annual Dynasty Night to look back on the historic Chicago Bulls championship years. The night will feature a Chicago Stadium Model Giveaway, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the iconic arena’s closure. The model’s roof will open up to show the Bulls’ basketball court. Rare Chicago Bulls memorabilia and the six NBA Championship Trophies will be on display for photo opportunities during the event and Windy City will wear throwback pinstripe jerseys in homage to the legendary teams of the 1990s.
For the first time in franchise history, Windy City will take on an alternate identity as the franchise has partnered with the nearby City of Woodstock to become the Windy City Willies on Saturday, Jan 20. Paying tribute to the legendary Groundhog Day movie that was filmed in Woodstock, the Bulls will wear Groundhog Day-themed jerseys and the night will include a Benny the Bull & Woodstock Willie Bobblehead Giveaway. Woodstock Willie, the official ambassador of the City of Woodstock, will be making an appearance at the game.
Windy City will host its annual Education Day Game, presented by BMO, on Thursday, Feb. 8. With an 11 a.m. tip-off, it’s a great field trip opportunity for local schools, featuring digital workbooks for all students and a pre-game career panel consisting of several professionals from the sports industry. A Windy City Bulls & Chicago Bulls Shoe Charm Pack will be given away to the first 3,000 students in attendance.
The team’s annual Hispanic Heritage Night, presented by BMO, will take place on February 9 and includes commemorative Windy City Bulls Painted Wooden Maracas as a giveaway for fans in attendance.
To finish off the February schedule, the franchise will host a Black History Month Celebration on Saturday, Feb. 24, featuring a tribute to Chicagoland native and NBA pioneer Nat “Sweetwater” Clifton. In 1950, Clifton was the second-ever African American to sign a NBA contract and his legendary story was recently featured in the movie Sweetwater. A bobblehead depicting Clifton in his playing days will be given away and tributes to him and his family will highlight the special event.
On Friday, March 1, Windy City will take on G League Ignite during the team’s Women’s Basketball History Night when the Bulls will wear WNBA-themed game jerseys and the event will highlight great moments from the history of women's collegiate and professional basketball.
Windy City will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on March 15 with a (St.) Patrick Williams Bobblehead giveaway, presented by NOW Arena. The commemorative piece will feature the Chicago Bulls star player in a pose dying the Chicago River the famous green color seen during the annual celebration of all things Irish.
On Friday, March 29, a custom-designed Windy City Bulls hat that is part of the annual Chicago Bulls BMO Hat Series will be given away to fans. The WCB hat has been designed by artist NEZ and is part of the popular series of hats that honor the local arts community each season.
Windy City’s season finale is Sunday, March 30, and will include the return of a fan favorite -- Dog Day. This year, a Special Collapsible Dog Bowl will be given away with the purchase of a Pup Pass that will allow fans to bring their furry friends to enjoy the game from the 200 Level of NOW Arena. A dog photo station, on-court dog race and a dog costume contest will all take place during the event.
All promotional giveaways during the season are for the first 1,500 fans, unless noted. Additional promotional events may be added at a later date.
