Game Preview:

The Windy City Bulls will begin a three-game road trip in Canton tonight. The two teams previously met on December 9 when the Bulls edged the Charge 96-94. Guards Jerian Grant and R.J Hunter, along with forward Paul Zipser, were on assignment from the Chicago Bulls during the contest. Grant hit the game-winning shot to seal the victory for the Bulls at the final buzzer. Quinn Cook led the Charge with 30 points.

About Canton:

The Charge are led by guard Quinn Cook (25.1 ppg) and forward Chris Evans (20.6 ppg).

Canton joined the NBA Development League in 2001 as the Huntsville Flight, and after relocating to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2005, moved to Canton, Ohio in 2011. While in New Mexico, the name was changed from Albuquerque Thunderbirds to the New Mexico Thunderbirds. Last Time Out: The Windy City Bulls fell 121-117 to the 87ers on December 17 at the Sears Centre Arena. A furious fourth quarter rally saw a 17-point Bulls deficit cut to three points in the closing seconds of the fourth quarter before the 87ers hung on for victory. The Bulls had four players score 20 or more points in the game led by Thomas Walkup who finished with a season-high 24 points. Guards Andre Dawkins and Aaron Thomas along with forwarded Alfonzo McKinnie added 20 points. Dionte Christmas led all scorers with 30 points for the 87ers with Cat Barber and David Laury III contributing 25 and 21 points, respectively.

Heating Up: Alfonzo McKinnie has emerged as a consistent scoring threat for the Bulls and has scored 20 or more points in the past two games. On the season, McKinnie is averaging 13.6 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.

Next Up: The Windy City Bulls will head to Maine to take on the Red Claws for the first time in franchise history on Saturday, December 31. The Bulls’ last game in 2016 will begin with tipoff at 12:00 pm CT at the Portland Expo Building.
