The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO Harris Bank, the official G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, returned home to Sears Centre Arena for the first time since December 14 and grabbed a 110-93 victory over the Greensboro Swarm.

It was a game of runs with the Bulls shooting well from the jump, distributing the ball to shooters and knocking down open looks.

The Swarm hung close in the first quarter behind the post play of Homewood-Flossmoor and UIC product, Tai Odiase.

Milton Doyle and Chicago Bulls Two-Way player Adam Mokoka launched Windy City on a 21-5 run to open the second quarter to build a 19-point Bulls’ lead on .478 shooting as a team.

Greensboro could never get much going offensively in the first half, shooting .360 from the floor and .263 from three-point range.

Mokoka ended the half with 13 points, five rebounds and three assists for the Bulls on 3-for-3 from long range. Doyle finished the first two quarters with 12 points, one rebound and two assists on 5-for-10 from the field. Windy City led 63-45.

Odiase led the Swarm in the scoring column with nine points going at the break. Charlotte Hornets Two-Way player Robert Franks led Greensboro with eight rebounds.

To begin the second half, Charlotte Hornets Two-Way player Kobi Simmons and Hornets Assignment player Caleb Martin out of Nevada led the Swarm on a 27-12 run to cut the Bulls’ lead down to just three, with each scoring 11 and 6 respectively in the third quarter alone.

Thomas Wilder’s defense and distribution kept Greensboro at bay, and Windy City was able to hold the lead 83-77 at the end of the third.

The defensive intensity picked up for the Bulls in the fourth quarter with Windy City forcing 17 total Swarm turnovers for the game including nine steals and six blocked shots, while also holding Greensboro to just .351 shooting.

The final frame included a 20-5 run for Windy City as Denver Nuggets Two-Way player P.J. Dozier warmed up in the final minutes to finish with 16 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

A balanced scoring attack was the story of the game as five Bulls players finished in double figures including Mokoka with 18 points to lead the all scorers, along with eight rebounds and five assists. Wilder contributed a variety of winning plays in the fourth to finish with nine points, six assists and a key steal to halt the Swarm momentum and claim the win.

Windy City (10-9) will host the Wisconsin Herd on Friday in the second of a five-game home stand and then take on the Westchester Knicks on Saturday for Chuck Jones Big Draw Night presented by Zenni.
