The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO Harris Bank, the official G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, fell to the Long Island Nets on Friday night, 107-97.

Windy City got off to a hot start on Chicago Takeover Night with Chicago Bulls Head Coach Jim Boylen in attendance and watching courtside. The Bulls hit five of their first ten from three-point range to jump out to an eight point lead after one quarter, 27-19.

Following an impressive debut in a win at Delaware on Wednesday, new acquisition Jaron Blossomgame got things going early again for the Bulls with eight points, three rebounds and two assists in the opening frame.

Long Island responded by controlling the paint and going on 25-12 run of their own to take a 44-39 lead in the second quarter behind Deng Adel out of Louisville with 14 points and three rebounds, and Brooklyn Nets Two-Way player Jeremiah Martin with ten points, four rebounds and three assists.

A fast-break slam by Ferrakohn Hall in the closing seconds brought the Bulls within three at the break, 55-52.

Leading the way for Windy City at half were Simi Shittu with a double-double in the first 24 minutes, notching ten points and ten rebounds, and Blossomgame with ten points, five rebounds, three assists, and one steal.

The two squads battled back and forth to open the second half with the Bulls finding the range from beyond the arc once again and knocking down six three-pointers as team in the third quarter, including three by Milton Doyle.

However, the Nets continued to control the game from the inside, and held an 82-80 advantage entering the fourth quarter.

Long Island used key outside shooting and defense down the stretch to grab a double-digit lead in the closing minutes and escape with the victory.

The Nets finished with a 52-41 rebounding advantage and a 45-23 lead in bench points with six players in double figures led by Martin with 18 points, eight rebounds and three assists, and C.J. Williams with 20 points and three rebounds.

Blossomgame finished with 19 points, seven rebounds and five assists and Simi Shittu contributed 15 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks for Windy City. Adam Mokoka followed up his 15 points in five minutes for the Chicago Bulls last night at the United Center with 12 points, four rebounds and three assists.

Windy City (12-18) will host the Grand Rapids Drive tomorrow night for Community Heroes Night at Sears Centre Arena.
