WINDY CITY BULLS ANNOUNCE PROMOTIONAL EVENTS & GIVEAWAYS FOR INAUGURAL 2016-2017 SEASON

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL – The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO Harris Bank, the NBA Development League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, have announced their promotional themes and giveaways that will highlight the team’s inaugural 2016-2017 season.

The Bulls will tip off its first season at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates on Friday, November 11 with the first of 16 regular season Friday or Saturday home dates. Opening Night, presented by BMO Harris Bank, will feature a special pre-game ceremony to commemorate the team’s first game and several Bulls Entertainment groups will perform during the game. The first 1,500 fans entering the doors on this historic night will receive a commemorative Bulls Opening Night hat.

The fun continues on November 19 when Windy City hosts Chicago Sports Night featuring appearances by several former Chicago professional athletes who will meet fans and sign autographs before and during the game.

On Friday, November 25, the Windy City Bulls will host a Teddy Bear Toss in partnership with Hoffman Estates’ own Gigi’s Playhouse. Fans are encouraged to take part by bringing a Teddy Bear to toss onto the court and all teddy bears will be collected and donated to Gigi’s Playhouse.  On Saturday, November 26, video games from yesteryear and the current day will dominate the evening as the Windy City Bulls welcome professional gamers and amateurs alike to showcase their skills on Video Game Night.

Fans will have the opportunity to bring their furry friends to the team’s Dog Day on January 7 and later that month, the organization will honor our local military during Military Appreciation Night on January 27.

The first weeknight game of the season is Tuesday, February 7 and the Chicago Bulls famous Luvabulls dance team will be on-hand to meet fans and entertain during the game.

The final month of the season will feature three promotional giveaways, including a replica Windy City practice jersey on March 4 for kids age 12 and under, a St. Patrick’s Day commemorative scarf on March 17, and commemorative Jersey Tote Bags on April 1, presented by BMO Harris Bank. All promotional giveaways will be distributed to the first 1,000 fans in attendance.

In continuing the team’s theme of recognizing their fans in the Northwest Suburbs throughout the season, Windy City will welcome all local athletic champions from the current school year to Champions Night on March 21 when individuals and teams will be recognized alongside alumni of Chicago championship teams who will meet fans during the game.

The Windy City Bulls are preparing for their inaugural season in the heart of Chicago’s northwest suburbs. The team will play 24 home games at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates. The NBA Development League, which is entering its 16^th season, will expand to 22 teams for the 2016-17 season with the additions of the Windy City Bulls, Greensboro Swarm and Long Island Nets. Last season saw 32 D-League players called up to the NBA a total of 42 times.
