Windy City Bulls Comeback Bid Falls Short Against Greensboro

The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, lost to the Greensboro Swarm 133-122 Sunday afternoon. Windy City was led by Chicago Bulls Two-Way guard Carlik Jones with 31 points and 10 assists.
Chicago Bulls Assignment center Marko Simonović had a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds. Windy City guard Ethan Thompson chipped in19 points on 6-for-11 shooting from the field.
Greensboro jumped out to an early 20-point first-half lead. Windy City cut the deficit to 14 entering halftime, and started the third quarter on a 15-3 run to get within two points of the Swarm.
A three-pointer by Simonović gave Windy City its first lead of the game, ahead 80-79 with just under six minutes remaining in the third. The Bulls entered the fourth quarter leading by one.
The two teams went back-and-forth in the final quarter, however, Greensboro came out on top, winning by 11 points.
Forward Xavier Sneed led Greensboro with 30 points on 10-for-12 shooting. Swarm guard Kobi Simmons came off the bench to score 29 points, dish out five assists and grab four rebounds.
With the loss, Windy City fell to 6-9 in the regular season, while Greensboro improved to 6-9.
