Windy City Bulls Select 3 Players in 2021 NBA G League Draft

The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO, made three selections in the 2021 NBA G League Draft on Saturday to bolster the roster before Training Camp begins on Monday, Oct. 25.

Windy City selected Scottie Lindsey with the No. 17 overall pick, Tim Bond with the No. 25 overall pick and Kerwin Roach II with the No. 81 overall pick. All three players have previous experience playing in the NBA G League.

A local player, Lindsey attended Fenwick High School in Oak Park, IL before playing four seasons at Northwestern University. The 6-foot-5 guard had a breakout junior campaign for the Wildcats, averaging 14.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists while starting all 32 games and leading Northwestern to its first-ever berth in the NCAA Tournament, where the Wildcats advanced to the second round. 

As a senior during the 2017-18 season, Lindsey rose to 15.2 points per contest. Lindsey has a couple years of NBA G League experience under his belt. In 2018-19, he played for the Grand Rapids Drive before suiting up for the Erie BayHawks in 2019-20. Lindsey averaged 10.5 points per game for the Drive and 10.4 points per game for the BayHawks.

Providing size and versatility, Bond spent four seasons at Eastern Michigan University before stints with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers 2018-19 and Westchester Knicks 2019-20. As a senior with the Eagles, the 6-foot-7 forward averaged 9.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists with 2.4 steals and 1.1 blocks per game.

Roach II attended the University of Texas, leading the Longhorns to a National Invitation Tournament (NIT) title as a senior. The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 14.6 points per game as a senior before going undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft. Roach II has NBA G League experience, playing with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers during the 2019-20 season. 

Windy City is preparing for its fifth season in the NBA G League with opening night set for Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. CT on the road against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
