WINDY CITY BULLS TO HOLD LOCAL OPEN TRYOUT ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 7 AT QUEST MULTISPORT

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL – The Windy City Bulls, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, have announced that a one-day open tryout for prospective local players will take place on Saturday, September 7 at the Quest Multisport Complex located at 2641 W. Harrison St. Chicago, IL 60612.

Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their talent in front of Chicago Bulls and Windy City Bulls basketball operations personnel. The event is also open to other NBA and G League personnel for scouting purposes. Players will be competing for an invitation to the Windy City Bulls training camp which will take place in late October.

The registration fee is $200 and is non-refundable with space limited to the first 160 individuals. Pre-event registration will only be accepted online and via regular mail and no advance registrations via phone calls or walk-ins will be accepted. On-site registration for the camp will take place from 9 AM to 10 AM and the camp will start promptly at 10 AM and will end at 2 PM. Local individuals have performed well at past tryout camps, led by Chicago native Alfonzo McKinnie who made the team in its inaugural 2016-17 season and has gone on to spend parts of two seasons in the NBA with Toronto and Golden State following his All Star 2016-17 season with Windy City.

The Windy City Bulls, the official NBA G League Affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, are entering their fourth season of professional basketball in the heart of Chicago’s northwest suburbs. Beginning in November, the team will play 24 home games at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates. The NBA G League, which is entering its 19th season, will expand to 28 teams for the 2019-20 season. Last season saw 38 G League players called up to the NBA a total of 51 times.
