Windy City Falls to College Park

The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, lost to the College Park Skyhawks 123-117 Friday night at NOW Arena. The Bulls were led by Devon Dotson’s 28 points and 11 assists.

Chicago Bulls Two-Way forward Tyler Cook came off the bench to chip in 20 points, eight rebounds and four assists, while the Bulls’ other Two-Way forward Malcolm Hill provided 13 points and five rebounds. 

Chicago Bulls Assignment center Marko Simonovic scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Jeremy Pargo was the fifth Windy City player to score in double figures, finishing with 11 points.

College Park was led by Justin Tillman’s double-double of 27 points and 13 rebounds. NBA veteran guard Langston Galloway came off the pine to score 26 points, grab six rebounds and dish out five assists.

The Skyhawks stormed out of the gates, jumping out to a 36-23 lead after the first quarter. But Windy City took control in the second period, outscoring College Park 39-23 to take a three-point lead heading into the break.

Coming out of halftime, the two teams played a back-and-forth third quarter as the Skyhawks managed to tie the game at 85 heading into the final 12 minutes.

The Bulls and Skyhawks traded leads down the stretch, but College Park converted its free throws to earn a six-point victory. As a team, the Skyhawks shot 14-for-15 from the free throw line, including a perfect 10-for-10 in the fourth quarter.

With the loss, the Bulls fall to 14-17, while College Park improves to 16-13.

Next, the Bulls and Skyhawks are set to square off again at NOW Arena on Sunday, March 27. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on NBC Sports Chicago.
