Windy City Bulls Acquire Andre Dawkins

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL – The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO Harris Bank, the NBA Development League Affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, have acquired guard Andre Dawkins from the Texas Legends in exchange for the returning player rights of Xavier Thames.

Dawkins (6’4”/206 lbs) has appeared in five games for the Legends this season and is averaging 11.5 points and four rebounds per game.

The Virginia native played collegiately for Duke and won a National Championship with the Blue Devils in 2010. He had a four-game stint with the Miami Heat during the 2014-15 NBA season and in addition to his time with Texas this season, has also played professionally in the D-League with Sioux Falls and Maine.

Windy City will continue a three-game road swing with a back-to-back games this Friday and Saturday night at Grand Rapids and Fort Wayne, respectively.
