Bulls Take On Erie Wednesday Night

Game Preview:
The Windy City Bulls and the Erie BayHawks will meet at Erie Insurance Arena for the second time this season. In their previous matchup on Nov.12, the Bulls trimmed an 11 point fourth quarter deficit down to two in the closing seconds but the BayHawks held on and came away with a 108-105 victory. Anthony Brown poured in a game high 38 points for the BayHawks while Windy City was led by Chicago Bulls assignment R.J. Hunter who scored 24 points.
About the BayHawks:
The BayHawks joined the NBA Development League in 2009 and this past December, the league announced that the Orlando Magic will be purchasing the team and relocating it to Lakeland, Florida.
Anthony Brown currently resides at number five on the Top 25 NBA D-League Prospect Watch List. Brown leads the team with 21.9 points per game. Brown signed with the New Orleans Pelicans back in November 21, but was waived on December 9. Brown returned to the BayHawks just days after being waived by the Pelicans.

The Windy City Bulls split a doubleheader this past weekend against the Westchester Knicks and Raptors 905. On Friday, the Bulls defeated the Knicks in their first meeting in franchise history behind a 32 point output from Chicago Bulls assignment Bobby Portis. On Saturday, the Bulls fell 102-100 to Raptors 905 as Rockford, Illinois, native Fred VanVleet made two free throws with 1.3 seconds remaining to win the game. Alfonzo McKinnie led the Bulls with 22 points while Aaron Thomas and Chicago Bulls assignment Paul Zipser added 19 and 15 points, respectively.
Heating Up:
Aaron Thomas has been on fire as of late, averaging 19.3 points per game on the season. Thomas has scored 20 or more points eight times this season and scored in double figures in all games but two. Alfonzo McKinnie averaged 18.3 points and 8.0 rebounds per game in the last three games, which were also his first three starts of the season.
