Windy City Bulls Announce 2023-24 Basketball Operations Staff

The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, announced the team’s basketball operations staff for the 2023-24 season, headlined by General Manager Chigozie Umeadi, and Head Coach Henry Domercant who will return for his fourth season with the franchise.

Umeadi enters his second season as Windy City’s general manager, while also serving as the Chicago Bulls’ Director of Basketball Operations helping to strengthen the connection between Windy City and its parent club. Umeadi joined the Bulls organization in December 2020 after spending eight years working for the NBA.

Domercant, a Naperville, IL native, played collegiately at Eastern Illinois University and enjoyed a professional career that spanned over a decade overseas, which included stops in Italy, Greece and Russia. He began his coaching career in 2017, when he joined the Maine Red Claws as an assistant coach and later joined Windy City as an assistant coach in 2018.

Filling out Domercant’s coaching staff are Assistant Coaches Brandon Watkins, Billy Donovan III and Amadou Mbodji who collectively bring more than a decade of coaching experience to the franchise.

Prior to joining the Bulls, Watkins spent three seasons with Bowling Green University as the assistant men’s basketball coach. The Chicago, IL native played collegiately at Penn State University from 1999-2003.

Donovan played collegiately at the Catholic University of America from 2010-2012 and the University of Florida from 2013-2015 before beginning his coaching career in 2015. Donovan most recently served as a video coordinator for the Chicago Bulls the last two years.

Mdoji enters his first season with Windy City after previously serving as a player development coordinator for the Chicago Bulls. The Dakar, Senegal native played collegiately at Jacksonville State University from 2006-2009.

Micah Burno was named a Coaching Associate and Parker Bunn will fill the role of Video Coordinator after serving as Windy City’s coaching associate during the 2022-23 season. Marko Andjelkovic enters his second season as the Assistant Coach and Player Development Coordinator, and Justin Irwin joins Windy City as the team’s Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Jordan Bellomy will return for his third season as Head Athletic Trainer and Patrick Ebke enters his second season as an Assistant Athletic Trainer.

Rounding out the basketball operations staff, Josh Malone enters his second season as Assistant General Manager, while Nick Rieck will serve as the Director of Basketball Operations in his second year with Windy City. 

Windy City will tip-off the season with back-to-back road games against the Iowa Wolves on Friday, November 10 and Saturday, November 11 at 7p.m. CT. The Bulls host the Cleveland Charge on Saturday, November 18 for Windy City’s home opener at 5p.m. CT. For more information visit WindyCityBulls.com.
