Windy City Bulls Charge Past Cleveland, Improve to 6-2

The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, beat the Cleveland Charge 119-99 Saturday night at NOW Arena. Windy City was led by Chicago Bulls Two-way forward Malcolm Hill with 20 points, eight rebounds and three assists. 

Windy City started the game strong, jumping out to a 10-point advantage near the end of the opening period. The Bulls took a 63-49 lead heading into halftime before coasting to a 20-point victory over the Charge.

Five players finished with double-digit points in a team effort. Guard Ethan Thompson had 17 points on 50% shooting. Guard Javon Freeman-Liberty shot 6-for-9 from the field and 4-for-5 from behind the arc to finish with 16 points. 

Chicago Bulls Assignment center Marko Simonović notched his fourth double-double of the season, grabbing 16 rebounds and scoring 16 points. Chicago Bulls Assignment guard Dalen Terry finished with 13 points. 

Cleveland was led by forward Jamorko Pickett’s 22 points, nine rebounds and five assists. Charge guard Sam Merrill -- the first overall selection in the 2022 NBA G League Draft -- chipped in 21 points.

With the win, Windy City improves to 6-2 on the season, while Cleveland falls to 6-4.

Next, the Bulls travel to Fort Wayne to take on the Mad Ants on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. CT at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. The game will be broadcast on NBAGLeague.com.
