Windy City Bulls Select Scottie Lewis in the 2023 NBA G League Draft

The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, selected Scottie Lewis with the No. 2 pick in the second round of the 2023 NBA G League Draft on Saturday, Oct. 28.

After playing for Ranney School in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, Lewis attended the University of Florida for two years (2019-2021). 

As a freshman during the 2019-20 season, Lewis averaged 8.5 points per game, 3.6 rebounds and 0.7 assists, earning SEC All-Freshman Team honors. He became the first guard to lead Florida in blocked shots with a total of 36 after starting 22 games. Lewis scored a season-high 19 points in the final game of the season against the University of Kentucky. As a sophomore, Lewis averaged 7.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists, appearing in 21 games including nine starts. 

After being selected 56th overall in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft, he signed a two-way contract with the Charlotte Hornets. During the 2021-2022 season, Lewis appeared in 32 games with the Charlotte Hornets’ NBA G League affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm, averaging 12.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.9 assists. 

Windy City is entering its seventh season in the NBA G League with opening night set for Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. CT on the road against the Iowa Wolves. The Bulls’ home opener is slated for Nov. 18 at 5 p.m. CT when Windy City hosts the Cleveland Charge at NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates. For ticket and team information, visit WindyCityBulls.com.
