Windy City Earns 20-Point Comeback Win, Jones Drops 40

The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, stormed back to defeat the Wisconsin Herd 144-133 on the road Friday night. Chicago Bulls Two-Way guard Carlik Jones notched his second 40-point game of the season to help Windy City rally from down 20 to earn the win.

After trailing by 20 early in the third quarter, Windy City fought back to cut the deficit to just two points entering the final 12 minutes.

The Bulls didn’t let up in the fourth, jumping out to an 11-point lead less than four minutes into the period. The Herd managed to get within two points of Windy City, but the Bulls held on to win by 11.

Seven Windy City players finished in double figures and the Bulls shot 59.6% from the field as a team.

Chicago Bulls Assignment center Marko Simonovic notched a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds, while Chicago Bulls Two-Way guard Malcolm Hill chipped in 18 points.

Chicago Bulls Assignment guard Dalen Terry finished with 15 points, four rebounds and six assists. Windy City guard Javon Freeman-Liberty added 17 points off the bench.

Wisconsin was led by guard Rob Edwards’ 26 points on 9-for-14 shooting. Milwaukee Bucks Two-Way guard A.J. Green scored 25 points, grabbed five rebounds and dished five assists.

Next, Windy City’s road-trip continues with a game in North Carolina against the Greensboro Swarm on Sunday, Feb. 5. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. CT and the game will be broadcast on NBAGLeague.com.
