Windy City Acquires Henri Drell

The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, announced Tuesday afternoon the team has acquired Henri Drell. The 21-year-old guard from Estonia has spent the past two seasons playing in Italy’s top league.

In 2019-20, Drell averaged 4.7 points in 15 games with Victoria Libertas Pesaro in Lega Basket Serie A. Drell’s scoring rose to 5.8 points per contest in the 2020-21 season, and his shooting efficiency improved to 50% from the field and 40% from three-point territory.

After helping Victoria Libertas to a runner-up finish in the 2021 Italian Basketball Cup, Drell was named the Best Offensive Player for the tournament. 

Additionally, Drell has played for the Estonia national team since 2016, making his senior team debut in Feb. 2019.

Drell will wear #0 with Windy City and is expected to make his debut on Thursday, Jan. 20 on the road against the Maine Celtics. Tip-off against the Celtics is set for 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
