WINDY CITY BULLS ACQUIRE JAKARR SAMPSON
HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL – The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO Harris Bank, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, announced today that the team has acquired forward JaKarr Sampson. Earlier in the week the Windy City Bulls claimed guard Rodney Pryor and acquired forward V.J. Beachem from the Wisconsin Herd in a trade.
Sampson (6-8, 223), brings three seasons of NBA experience to the team. The 2013 Big East Rookie of the Year was signed to a Two-Way contract with the Sacramento Kings last season and appeared on the Chicago Bulls training camp roster earlier this year. Sampson averaged 17.9 points and 7.1 rebounds per game while with the Stockton Kings, NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings.
Pryor (6-5, 205) comes to Windy City with one year of experience in the NBA G League, having played with the Sioux Falls Skyforce last year. While with the Skyforce, Pryor averaged 10.2 points and 5.2 rebound per game in 24 games.
Beachem (6-8, 186) was acquired from the Wisconsin Herd in exchange for the returning rights of Aaron Thomas and Windy City’s 2019 Second Round Pick of the 2019-20 NBA G League Draft. Beachem spent the 2017-18 season with the South Bay Lakers where he marked a career high 30 points against the Texas Legends. Beachem made his first appearance with Windy City on Wednesday when the team hosted the Grand Rapids Drive.
The Windy City Bulls have waived Karrington Ward, Matthew Fisher-Davis and Jameel McKay.
The Windy City Bulls return to action tonight on the road against the Capital City Go-Go. For up-to-date information and to purchase tickets, visit WindyCityBulls.com.
