Windy City Bulls Acquire Returning Player Rights to Carlik Jones and Ben Moore

The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, announced a trade involving the Texas Legends and Memphis Hustle.
Windy City sent the returning player rights to Hassani Gravett to the Memphis Hustle, along with the Bulls’ first round pick in the 2023 NBA G League Draft to the Texas Legends. In return, the Windy City received the returning player rights to Carlik Jones from the Legends and the returning player rights to Ben Moore from the Hustle. Additionally, Memphis sent its 2023 second round pick to the Legends.
This summer, Jones participated in training camp with the Chicago Bulls after playing for the Bulls in the 2022 NBA Summer League. As for Moore, the 6-foot-8 forward grew up in Bolingbrook, IL, which is less than an hour from NOW Arena -- where Windy City plays its home games.
Jones most recently played for the Legends and was named to the NBA G League All-Rookie Team in 2022. After going undrafted in the 2021 NBA Draft, Jones joined the Dallas Mavericks for the 2021 NBA Summer League before ending up with the Legends. Last season, Jones averaged 20.9 points, 4.8 rebounds and 7.4 assists in 43 games with the Legends. During the season, Jones also signed 10-day contracts with the Mavericks and the Denver Nuggets before returning to the Legends.
The 6-foot-1 point guard played for Radford University (2017-2020), before transferring to the University of Louisville (2020-2021). During his three years at Radford, Jones averaged 15.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists. In 2020, he was named Big South Player of the year. Jones was set to graduate with the option to transfer to another team for his final year of eligibility, choosing the University of Louisville, he started in 19 games and averaged 16.8 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game.
Moore averaged 9.0 points and 5.8 rebounds per game while at Southern Methodist University (2013-2017). After going undrafted in the 2017 NBA Draft, Moore signed with the Indiana Pacers for the 2017 NBA Summer League. In January of 2018, the Pacers signed Moore to a two-way contract, where he split his time between the Pacers and the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. Moore signed a two-way contract with the San Antonio Spurs in 2018 before returning to the Mad Ants in 2019. In February 2022, Moore was acquired by the Memphis Hustle.
Windy City tips off the regular season on the road Friday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. CT against the Wisconsin Herd, before hosting the Herd at NOW Arena the following day for Windy City’s home opener.
