WINDY CITY BULLS DEFEAT IOWA ENERGY 96-85 IN EXHIBITION GAME

(Des Moines, IA) The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO Harris Bank, the NBA Development League Affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, defeated the Iowa Energy 96-85 Saturday afternoon at the Wells Fargo Arena in a preseason exhibition game.

Spencer Dinwiddie paced the Bulls with a team high 17 points and 8 rebounds while D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera chipped in 14 points and Thomas Walkup recorded 13 points and 5 rebounds.

Windy City also received double-digit scoring contributions from Aaron Thomas and Coreontae DeBerry, both finishing with 10 points apiece.

The Bulls came out of the gates strong, building an early 11 point lead midway through the first quarter. Iowa stormed back and the teams exchanged eight lead changes in the second quarter before the Bulls took a 46-45 lead at the intermission.

Leading by two with 5:37 remaining in the fourth quarter, the Bulls pulled away, outscoring the Energy 29-19 in the final frame.

The inaugural season officially tips off at the Sears Centre Arena on Friday, November 11 when the Windy City Bulls host the Long Island Nets at 7 PM. The first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive a commemorative Windy City Bulls Hat, presented by BMO Harris Bank.
