Windy City Bulls fall to Grand Rapids Gold

The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, lost to the Grand Rapids Gold 103-87 Wednesday afternoon at Orange County Convention Center. Windy City was led by guard Chris Clemons with 21 points, six rebounds and four assists. 

Guard Quenton Jackson chipped in 12 points, three rebounds and five assists. Chicago Bulls Two-Way center Adama Sanogo finished with 10 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks. 

The Gold jumped out to an early 10-point lead at the end of the first quarter. Grand Rapids extended the lead to 62-40 at halftime. Clemons led Windy City with nine points in the first half. 

Windy City won the third quarter, outscoring Grand Rapids 24-21, but the Gold led 83-64 heading into the final 12 minutes. The Bulls finished with 32 bench points in the loss to the Gold. 

Grand Rapids was led by Denver Nuggets Assignment forward Hunter Tyson who finished with 23 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Guard Andrew Funk chipped in 22 points and two assists.    Next up, Windy City will take on the Stockton Kings at the NBA G League Winter Showcase on Friday, Dec. 22. The game is slated to tip-off at 5:00 p.m. CT and will be broadcasted live on NBAGLeague.com and the NBA App.
