Windy City Bulls fall to Motor City Cruise on the road

The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, fell to the Motor City Cruise 121-116 Wednesday night at Wayne State Fieldhouse. Windy City was led by guard Quenton Jackson with 30 points, four rebounds and three assists. 

After a back and forth first quarter, Motor City took a 30-26 lead over Windy City. After 12 lead changes in the first half, the Cruise took at two-point lead at halftime. 

Guard Keifer Sykes scored nine points in the third quarter, however, Motor City took a 86-83 lead heading into the final 12 minutes. The Bulls scored 33 points in the fourth quarter in the five-point loss to the Cruise. 

Motor City was led by Detroit Pistons Two-Way guard Stanley Umude with 25 points, seven rebounds and two assists. Guard Zavier Simpson finished with 23 points, two rebounds and 11 assists. 

With the loss, Windy City fell to 0-1 in the regular season, while Motor City improved to 1-0. Next up, Windy City will take on the Motor City Cruise tomorrow at Wayne State Fieldhouse on Thursday, Dec. 28. The game is slated to tip-off at 6:00 p.m. CT and will be broadcasted live on ESPN+.
