Windy City Bulls Run Out of Gas Against Charge

The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, lost to the Cleveland Charge 105-96 Saturday night at NOW Arena. Chicago Bulls Assignment center Marko Simonović led Windy City with 21 points and 10 rebounds. 

Chicago Bulls Assignment forward Dalen Terry finished with a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds. Chicago Bulls Two-Way guards Carlik Jones and Malcolm Hill also had 19 points apiece. 

The Bulls started the game on a 10-0 run, but the Charge weathered the storm to take a 64-55 edge into halftime. Windy City battled back to cut the deficit to four points heading into the final 12 minutes, but the Bulls ran out of gas, falling to Cleveland by nine points.

Charge guard Sam Merrill knocked down eight three-pointers to lead the team with 29 points. Center Isaiah Mobley chipped in 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. 

With the loss, Windy City fell to 3-5 in the regular season, while Cleveland improved to 5-1.

Next up, the Bulls have a rematch with the Charge Monday afternoon at NOW Arena. The game is slated to tip-off at 1 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on NBC Sports Chicago+.
