Windy City Bulls steal a win on the road over Maine Celtics

The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, beat the Maine Celtics 101-96 Wednesday night. Windy City was led by Chicago Bulls Two-way forward Adama Sanogo with 27 points and 15 rebounds. 

Windy City guard Quenton Jackson chipped in 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Guard Chris Clemons scored 16 points off the bench for the Bulls.

Maine jumped out to a 27-22 lead after shooting 52.9 percent from the field in the first quarter. Sanogo led all scorers with 14 points as Windy City trailed by two points heading into the second half. 

The Bulls went on a 9-5 run at the end of the third quarter to take a one-point lead heading into the final 12 minutes. Windy City outscored Maine 27-23 in the fourth quarter to secure the five-point win.

Maine was led by Boston Celtics Two-way guard JD Davidson 24 points, seven rebounds and 12 assists. Guard DJ Steward scored 19 points off the bench for the Celtics.

With the win, Windy City improved to 3-8 in the regular season, while Maine fell to 5-6. 

Next up, Windy City heads to Birmingham to take on the Squadron on Sunday, January 28. The game is slated to tip-off at 3:00pm CT and will be broadcasted on NBA TV.
