Windy City Bulls Lose in Heartbreaker Against Westchester

The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, lost to the Westchester Knicks 121-120 Sunday night at NOW Arena. Windy City was led by Chicago Bulls Assignment center Marko Simonović, who finished with 26 points and 21 rebounds.
Windy City jumped out to a 35-27 lead at the end of the first quarter and remained in control of the game with a four-point lead heading into halftime. Simonović had 14 points and 13 rebounds in the first half.
The Knicks came out strong in the second half, leading by as many as 13 points in the fourth quarter, but the Bulls continued to battle. Two clutch free throws from Jones brought Windy City within one but they were unable to tie the game with three seconds left.
Chicago Bulls Assignment guard Carlik Jones scored 18 of his 33 points in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough as Windy City fell one point short.
Westchester was led by forward Garrison Brooks with 26 points and 20 rebounds. Knicks guard Jalen Johnson chipped in 21 points off the bench.
With the loss, Windy City fell to 12-12 in the regular season, while Westchester improved to 9-15.
