The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, couldn’t fend off the Lakeland Magic down the stretch, falling 116-107 on the road Monday night. Chicago Bulls Assignment center Marko Simonović finished with team-high marks of 20 points and 10 rebounds for his 11th double-double of the season with Windy City.

Playing in his first game with Windy City, Chicago Bulls Two-Way forward Malcolm Hill scored 16 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out four assists. Kerwin Roach II and Bryce Alford provided sparks off the bench for the Bulls, scoring 16 and 15 points, respectively.

Devon Dotson finished with 11 points, four rebounds and seven assists, while Ethan Thompson was the sixth Windy City player to reach double figures with 10 points.

Lakeland also had six players reach double digits in the scoring column, led by Jeremiah Tilmon’s 24 points and 10 rebounds.

The game was a back-and-forth affair, with nine lead changes and 10 ties. After a tight first quarter, Windy City outscored the Magic 29-19 in the second quarter to take a seven-point advantage into halftime. The third quarter was another close contest, but Lakeland bested the Bulls 40-27 in the fourth period to complete the comeback.

As a team, Windy City scored 20 points at the free throw line, while Lakeland managed just eight. But the Bulls struggled to connect from the field, shooting 46.3% compared to the Magic’s 51.6%.

Windy City now sits at 11-16, while Lakeland moves to 8-16.

Next, the Bulls return home to NOW Arena to host the Greensboro Swarm on Wednesday, March 16. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
